Miguel + The 12 Crowns is a recording project founded in 2019 by multi-instrumentalist Miguel Rodriguez. Miguel solely handles composing, performing, recording and production of every track. Though this was initially a way to bypass the troubles of collaborating and seeking other musicians for a band, this approach to music making has manifested itself as a never ending challenge to measure Miguel’s abilities as a musician.

Since Miguel + The 12 Crowns isn’t a band, every instrument has a slightly similar stylistic personality, due to all of them being approached by a singular person’s influences and ideas. M+12C pulls influence from alternative rock, neo psychedelia, dance pop and house to create something that you might call psychedelic… dance rock? Miguel doesn’t actually do drugs because he is a coward. 

Terry is a toy tow truck Miguel built in his vision on July 7th, 2019. He decided to pimp him out as a mascot for his music a few months later on a whim. Isn’t he cute?

After amassing a whopping 10 listeners by the end of April 2020, Miguel released “Ashy Mix 1,” a playlist of 6 various songs Miguel had released as single’s previously. It sold half of its first and only printing of 20 copies…

Mimidelia, his first EP, released to the fanfare of roughly 30 people in June of 2021! Tracks like 10,000 Angels and Scandinavian Dreamer have become favorites among Miguel himself and his few but loyal fans. 

Now 2 Ashy 2 Mix is coming up… shouldn’t he just promote a few singles instead of throwing out 4 more songs at once? Greedy goblin that he is. Gee, I hope they like it.
